At a Glance
  • 13 Siemens SWT 101 turbines with 3,000 kW capacity each
  • Net electricity generation of 144,400 MWh per year
  • Reduction of 62,284 tCOe2 per year
Projects Benefits
  • Displaces carbon emissions that would have been generated by an energy grid predominantly run on fossil fuels
  • Creation of local jobs
  • Source of affordable and accesible clean energy
About renewable
These projects create the infrastructure needed to generate renewable energy harnessed from natural resources like the sun or wind. Once these sources are in place, they become a permanent source of clean energy.
How it works
  • Project developer funds the installation of wind turbines at the wind farm
  • Local community members are hired to run and maintain the wind farm
  • Clean and renewable energy generated by the windfarm is provided to the Turkish power grid, displacing the need for energy generated at fossil fuel based power plants
  • Carbon emissions are reduced, and clean renewable energy is being used to meet the electricity demands for the Turkisgh power grid
Proof of Carbon Accounting
To ensure transparency, Green Story Carbon Registry tracks issuance and retirement of carbon credits for all projects on the Green Story offset platform.
